The Jungle Within Privacy Notice

What we collect

We collect your name, email address, phone number, optional country, invite request details, video shoot RSVP details, consent preferences, referral activity, Jungle Points activity, support-step activity, event entry pass records, attendance records, and any cinema recommendations you submit.

Why we collect it

We use this information to create and manage your Jungle Pass, manage invite requests and video shoot RSVPs, send practical location or production details, confirm support steps, unlock your event QR code, award Jungle Points, unlock rewards, manage referrals, invite members to events, and send AKA Block updates where you have given consent.

Cinema recommendations

If you recommend a film at The Jungle Cinema Club, we store its title, optional release year, poster image and YouTube trailer link, your note, your chosen name, and the account that submitted it. Your film, poster, trailer, note and aggregate vote count are visible to other signed-in TJW members to help choose future screenings. Recommendations are anonymous to other members. The cinema host can see your chosen name and account email; you can identify your own suggestions. Anything you write in the public note or include in your poster can still identify you. Posters are stored privately and served through signed-in access without exposing uploader details. Opening a trailer takes you to YouTube. We link your votes to your account to allow one selected film per person and prevent self-votes. You can edit your description, poster and trailer, or remove your recommendation and votes, from the Cinema page. Only the cinema host can correct the title, year or chosen name, and can also edit other recommendation details; the original account remains credited. Removing a recommendation also removes its poster.

Cinema email invitations have their own opt-in on the Cinema page. The host can also add names and email addresses of friends who want invitations by importing a CSV. Importing does not create an account or send an email. Contact lists are private to the host. We use Brevo to send movie-night invitations and retain recipient lists and sending status to prevent duplicates and investigate delivery issues. Imported friends can stop invitations through the preference link in each email without creating an account. Members can manage cinema invitations on the Cinema page. Opt-outs are kept so another import does not silently subscribe you again; general TJW email preferences are separate.

Filming and photography

If you RSVP to a video shoot or attend an AKA Block filming event, you may be filmed or photographed as part of the production. The RSVP form will make this clear before you submit your details.

Marketing cookies

We only load Meta Pixel if you accept optional marketing cookies. This helps us understand site visits and improve AKA Block release and event ads. If you decline, the core Jungle Pass still works.

External release pages

If you open an external release page such as Hypeddit, YouTube, Stripe, or a streaming platform, that service may use its own cookies, analytics, and privacy settings.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing updates at any time. You can also decline optional marketing cookies, request a copy of your data, or ask for your Jungle Pass and related data to be deleted.

Request deletion

To request deletion, email akablockmusic@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Jungle Pass, invite request, or RSVP.
